Dr. Robbyn graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and the University of Waterloo in 2012 as a Doctor of Optometry.

From personal experience, Robbyn has witnessed lasting change due to neuroplasticity. Whether it’s a learning issue, an eye turn, amblyopia, or a brain injury, she’s fascinated by the brain’s ability to create new, more efficient, and effective connections and processing patterns. This is where her passion for this field stems from!

Robbyn enjoys developing relationships and putting a smile on the faces of patients and their families. It’s fulfilling to bring them hope, help them build confidence in themselves and live each day just a little bit better than the day before.

Witnessing the growth and positive changes that come from dedication, commitment, and hard work is truly a blessing. She believes that guiding and supporting others to develop and reach their greatest potential creates happiness, and increasing happiness at home in our communities is the best way for us to build a more loving place to live, and a bright future filled with dreams, goals, and endless possibilities.

Robbyn loves to be an active part of the community in as many ways as possible! When she’s not at work, you can catch her walking on the Meewasin Trail or having coffee with her husband, Lee, three daughters, and fur baby at sunrise. She also enjoys practicing yoga and meditation, dancing salsa, or
cooking and socializing with friends. She tries to spend a good chunk of time being active outside or relaxing in nature; from cycling to paddling to fishing up north at her remote cabin on Nemeiben Lake. She’s always up for an adventure! She is also a relationship coach, as she loves to build love in her community, and has a deep curiosity about human relationships.

Carly Hall graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Physiology & Pharmacology and from Pacific University in
2018 as a Doctor of Optometry. At graduation, she received the Donald A.
Bybee award for vision therapy.

Carly comes from a family of teachers and is passionate about learning-related vision problems. She pursued a Master of Education degree in Visual Function in Learning because of her interest in developmental disabilities in children and adults, particularly how vision affects the ability to learn and be successful in school.

Carly’s approach to optometry has always been centered around providing high-quality and compassionate patient care. She is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with patients and their families, and enjoys seeing progress and improved confidence in individuals of all ages.

Carly enjoys cooking, reading, spin classes, yoga, and listening to podcasts. When she’s not working, she likes spending time outside with her husband and sons.

Shelby Borstmayer graduated from the University of Regina in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science and in 2021 from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon with a Doctor of Optometry.

Dr. Borstmayer is a determined problem-solver. Her favourite part of working at Saskatoon Vision Therapy is the variety of patients and cases she gets to experience.

She loves celebrating each and every win with her patients, especially as they develop new visual skills and move more efficiently through their environment. Watching patients gain confidence as they become more assured and secure in their world is one of her favourite parts of Vision Therapy!

Shelby loves to be active and get outside in any way possible. High-intensity interval training (HIIT), yoga, and spin are some of her favourite classes. She has a love for travel and has some big dreams for her travelling future! Hiking is another one of her passions; it’s her favourite way to explore a new area. You can often find her spending quality time with her family and friends – going to the lake, playing cards, and enjoying yard games.

Jen Pederson graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology, and in 2021 with a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science. During her time at the University of Waterloo, she received numerous awards including the Drs. Wensveen and Smith Award in Binocular Vision and Perception and the COVD Excellence in Vision Therapy Award.

Dr. Jen strives to build a connection with each and every patient she sees. She has extensive experience in patient care through working in rural Alberta for 4+ years, and is excited to bring this experience back to her home province of Saskatchewan. She believes that every part of a patient’s journey is important to recovery and loves the conversations that lead to the fine details of a patient’s life. While she enjoys working with patients of all ages, she has a special place in her heart for children with vision-related learning concerns and those suffering from the long-lasting effects of a concussion. She feels strongly that every child (and child at heart) should love to read and strives to work to give her patients this opportunity.

Outside of work, you can find Dr. Jen either with her nose in a book or spending time outdoors. She loves to be active and you can often catch her and her husband running in every road race they possibly can register for. She loves yoga and hiking in the mountains, but also very much appreciates a good balance of down-time with family and friends.

Sabrina holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees (English and Psychology) from the University of Calgary as well as a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix campus in Germany. Sabrina trained to become a vision therapist through the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), The Vision Therapy Group, and Vision Therapy Canada (VTC). She has worked as a vision therapist for over 15 years, and is accredited as a Practical Vision Therapist (PVT) by Vision Therapy Canada.

Sabrina is fascinated by how the brain and the eyes work together. Our brain’s plasticity means that we can recover, adapt, and learn… often leading to life changing results in vision therapy! She works hard with you to gently discover and remove what may be hindering your progress, and celebrates each unique victory alongside you. She will introduce you to methods for calming and reducing symptoms resulting from brain injury, strabismus or amblyopia as the first step to gaining the visual skills and control necessary to getting back to the activities that you love. Witnessing a child discover a love of reading and greatly improve their abilities in school, sports, and video games is one of the most rewarding parts of her life as a vision therapist! Sabrina is inspired by her patients when they improve self-awareness and find the confidence to try, as it opens up a new world of potential!

Sabrina has travelled extensively and loves to explore as many new countries as she can, and has had the amazing experience of living in and immersing herself in the culture of four different countries. Sabrina’s children and extended family are extremely important to her, and you’ll often find her enjoying a shared meal, a lively card game, or a movie night surrounded by loved ones. In her free time, she enjoys connecting with family and friends with a shared adventure appreciating the beauty of Saskatchewan, canoeing or kayaking, having a good walk and talk, yoga in the park, dancing, reading, and finding new places to explore, near or far. Lately you’ll find her practicing her newest passion, pickleball!

Dawn graduated from Mount Royal University with a Rehabilitation diploma and is accredited as a Practical Vision Therapist (PVT) by Vision Therapy Canada.

Dawn is inspired by the joy in a child’s face when they finally read confidently, the satisfaction of an individual who has gained control over an eye turn, or the relief felt by a person on the healing journey towards managing the symptoms of a brain injury.

Some of her earliest memories reflect an interest in helping people. She’s always been empathetic to people’s needs. Vision Therapy opened the door for her to help people and their families overcome adversity caused by differences in vision. She considers it a joy and a challenge to work together with her patients and their families to overcome struggles and achieve goals.

She brings an optimistic spirit and a motivation to work hard to every vision therapy session, and provides a kind-hearted, understanding environment for a wide variety of patients.

Dawn devotes personal time to her family. She’s raised three beautiful children and cannot wait to become a gramma. She also loves to be surrounded by beautiful spaces. This includes time at the lake, long walks with her dogs, travelling, and a peaceful environment.

Abby is accredited as a Practical Vision Therapist (PVT) by Vision Therapy Canada.

When Abby was a teenager, she experienced difficulties with her eyes and functional vision. She received a customized Vision Therapy program supervised by Dr. Robbyn Dupuis, and worked diligently to complete it. This program changed her life in such a positive way that it sparked her interest in becoming a Vision Therapist herself! She is driven to help as many others as she can.

Because she is drawing on first-hand experience, Abby knows that it often takes patience to see changes. She is kind and understanding as she works with patients to achieve their goals.

Outside of work, Abby enjoys spending her time with her family, friends, and animals. She also loves music and enjoys playing bass guitar, acoustic guitar, and ukulele. She is active in several outdoor activities and has fun dirt biking, wakeboarding, snowboarding, golfing, and she loves playing a good game of beach volleyball!

You can expect to find Rhiannon at the front desk with a smile on her face and a coffee in her hand!

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics with Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan and recently completed her Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics. Her next goal is to get into a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program! She is excited to be working with a wonderful and supportive team of professionals where she has the opportunity to learn something new every day!

Outside of her busy work and school life, Rhiannon has been training in Taekwon-Do for the past 8 years and earned her 1st degree black belt in December 2022. She plans to continue with Taekwon-Do for as long as she is able to! Rhiannon also enjoys listening to her favourite podcasts, playing music (she plays 4 instruments!), singing, and re-watching Grey’s Anatomy.

Ana has experience working in the administration of yoga schools in Thailand, Mexico and New Jersey, and is happy to call Saskatoon her home now to be close to family. She has a BA in English Literature, an MPS, and is currently pursuing an MDiv.

Ana wants every patient and their families to have an overall positive experience at Saskatoon Vision Therapy – and that includes their experience at the front desk!

Outside of work Ana is active in her local church and sings in the choir. She listens to a wide variety of historical, cultural and spirituality podcasts and her favourite activity of all is cuddling up with her two cats and a good book.
